Trip Report: Alabama 2006

First published in 2006. Reformatted 2025.

It doesn't seem like it, but it's been almost six years since I visited Maxwell AFB. This time it was business rather than family that took me to Alabama; a Historic American Engineering Record project required research at the Air Force Historical Research Agency. I drove from Texas rather than put up with the airline hassles, so I managed to see a few tourist sites along the way. Just a reminder PIN means Permanent Installation Number and ILC means Installation Location Code; I include these for Air Force properties when I know them.
